Hey i am going to be putting a system together VERY soon and this is hte major parts i've picked out:
AMD T-bird 1.33 GHz
ABIT KT7a (non-raid)
Corsair PC133 SDRAM @ CAS 2
IBM Deskstar 75GXP @ 30GB
Plextor 16/10/40 CD-RW
Pioneer 16/40 DVD
Sony 3.5"
Sound Blaster Live! Value
ATi Radeon 64MB DDR
3com NIC
3com 56k Win-modem

Before i decided on the ABIT i had also considered the Iwill KK266 and the ASUS A7V133 .
I've heard that the Iwill has problems with the Radeon and the ASUS has problems with Live! cards. Can any of you tell me if this is true? The ASUS i'am pretty much disgaurding because it is the most expensive. But the Iwill is a little cheaper (10$) and i've heard it is VERY good. But if it can't handle Radeons then that goes out the window. I've heard the ABIT is also excellent.

I've had abit, MSI, asus and epox...........all in socket a solutions....

and for me:

the epox was the most troublefree choice
installation was a breeze and it never choked (NOT ONCE)

I had the 8kta2

but i've heard the 8kta3 is outstanding!

that is my next board.
