Socket A single CPU mobo with 64/66MHz PCI?

Does anyone know if there was a non dual CPU socket A mobo with 64 bit 66MHz PCI slots?

Most of the boards I've found are for dual MPs.. I'd like to use a single XP CPU I have.

Are there dual boards that support one CPU only? Any that take CPUs other than the MP?

Most dual-CPU motherboards will work fine with only one CPU installed so you should be OK, the only problem you may find is that most are intended for server duty & many lack AGP slots as well as any overclocking features. Another thing to keep in mind is that although one AXP should work in most of these boards, if you decide to add a second CPU later, it very likely will not work correctly. Take a look at Tyan & Super-Micro for starters... good luck.

The only socket-A chipset to support 64-bit 66 MHz PCI is indeed the dual-CPU northbridge AMD 762.

Like Captante said, the boards made from that chipset usually do run OK with one CPU - however they need registered DIMMs (not standard unbuffered ones), and are limited to 133 MHz front side bus.
