socket A or 754 for cheap sempron based system

Any reason to go one way or the other? I'm building a budget system for someone.

Today? socket-754 sempron (the 64-bit-enabled new kind). Processor prices are about the same, socket-A boards are at most $10 cheaper for AGP, but have no future. S754 in turn lets you add $15 for a PCIE enabled board.

I'm doing a big favor for someone who's system died and I needed to make a decision quick. They need to be up and running by next weekend. Thanks to all of you, I made the right one.
