Socket A Motherboards with SDRAM support?

I'm sorry if this question has already been answered, but I couldn't find what I needed with SEARCH. I'm looking to get a good Socket A motherboard, but I already have a good bit of SDRAM, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a decent Socket A motherboard that also supports SDRAM? I know of the K7S5A, but I was hoping something newer had been released, perhaps with the KT266A or Ali Magic chipsets. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What you want is VIA KT133A based board, the KT266A is DDR based only. NewEgg.com has good selection at good prices and excellent service.

Here is few that I would recommend....

MSI K7T TURBO2, Abit KT7A, EPOX 8KTA3L+

Your best bet is K7S5A. It supports your old SDRAM and can be migrated to DDR if/when you so choose.

Performance-wise, it is superior to the KT133A platform and doesn't feature the headaches associated with VIA.

The price tag is also attractive :)

What headaches I don`t have any,but then I don`t know how good your build skills are Pabster not as good as mine I guess ;),anyway MSI K7T TURBO2, or the Epox EPOX 8KTA3L+ are good boards, if you are on a very tight budget then the ECS might be worth buying.

I`m not bias like some people here ;) oh and my old KT133 is still going strong with no problems :D .

MSI K7T Turbo Limited is a fine SDRAM KT133a solution.

I am not sure what headaches Pabster is referring to, so disregard his biased replies. ;) The ECS is a good board, but do a SEARCH for user feedback and you will see it is a hit-or-miss solution. The k7S5A's I have used seem to do the job fairly well.

I'd go with the ECS board too. It's under $60. You can't beat that with a stick. It also has 2 184-pin DIMM slots for DDR when you're ready for it. The only drawback to the K7S5A is that it's made by ECS and it has about as many overclocking options as a brick.

The SiS chipset is the latest and probably the last chipset that will support SDRam for SocketA.
