Looks to be a new brand, lifetime warranty too.
KM266Pro seems to be the original with updated graphics core and 333FSB support.

L@@ks like this board is FREE after rebate.

One rebate is for $40 the other is for $20. Take a look yourself, anyone seeing any different?

The $30 ($40?) rebate is for a different product. If anybody has a link to the correct rebate, post it. If it's good then I'm going for it.

question is whether the $40 rebate applies to this product or not; refers to PM800DMS - I don't see that as the part number (or other mobo-related-number) related to this board. Anybody see anything that would shed light?

Here is a correct link for the v2dp motherboard 30.00 rebate at newegg

While i'm at it i guess i'll throw in a Link for the 20.00 "bonus" rebate for the scrolling-impared.

enjoy ;)

9.00 AR , free shipping, if the board works then its a hot deal for a cheap PC or cruncher.

Anybody ever heard of Mach Speed Technologies? They say they've been around since 1989. Looks like they are paying the rebates themselves and there are two MIRs. I would be very careful with this one.

This sounds/looks like a Soyo-esque deal...

Sounds too fishy to me. Doesn't seem worth it for a no-name MB. Guess I'll keep holding on to that AMD 2500 CPU.

Reading the fine print reveals that they require you to send the "bonus" rebate in the same envelope with the regular rebate.
So, no real problem sending in the orig UPC with both. :)

I have used a Mach Speed motherboard before. It was a SS7. It worked... That's about all i can say.

I ordered this since I don't mind waiting for the rebates but beware, the one rebate could take 5+ months to receive. Read the fine print on both.

It sounds very similar to a Soyo rebate especially when postmark deadline dates are mentioned.

Here's the math:

The last valid postmark date is 30 days from 12/25/04 if I'm reading it correctly.
So add 14 weeks and 30 days to 12/25/04.

Geez, that's over 5 months from today. Buy it today and get your money around the middle of May 2005.
And since they won't respond if the rebate is invalid, you could be waiting alot longer. :)

One of the rebates was pulled. They may be correcting it since it was the wrong one yesterday.

Not that it actually applies to this offer, but the only other rebate I ever submitted that required BOTH rebates to be sent in the same envelope was for something I got at CUSA. I got the money for ONLY ONE of the rebates. Both rebates where taped to the same piece of paper in the SAME envelope.

Good Luck

This may be a better deal than I first thought. From the manufactures website it says:

CPU Bus Frequency: CPU Bus Frequency, Choose One Step Add 1MHz From 100MHz Up to 200MHz in BIOS Setup (Frequency Magic Setting)

Jumperless: Supports Jumperless Function by BIOS Setup-allows user to easily change the CPU Frequency Setting.

This isn't an NForce mobo where the pci bus is locked at 33 Mhz. This Via mobo uses several discrete PCI-to-fsb ratios (100 3 to 1, 133 4 to 1 etc.). So don't expect the mobo to be stable at all bus speeds. The pci bus can get oc'd too much and trash your data. I find Via chipsets (266 400 etc) can OC a bit from each standard frequency, which is a nice feature. Your big boost will be running a 133 Mhz chip at 166 Mhz.

Just got an auto email that these are in stock. Ordered one and newegg said their were 25 left. I hope both rebates are still valid since only one is listed now. Anyone hear anything?

I doubt it, it only lists 1 so the other must have expired already.

The dates are still in effect; from the $30 rebate (still up):

In order to receive your rebate from Mach Speed Technologies you must purchase the eligible product listed below from NewEgg.com between 12/1/04 and 12/31/04

from the $20 rebate:

Purchase the V2DP between 12/04/04 and 12/25/04 and recieve an additional $20 rebate

I can not find anything on the rebates to suggest they are not both valid. I just wonder why the $20 one was dropped from NewEgg.
