Socket-A heatsink installation....

The duron and tbird cores sit up higher off the die then the p3, so the socket370 hsf apply too much pressure to the socket a cores, and can crack it.

gotta make sure you get a socket A heatskink. But even then its nothing to take lightly

The fop32/38 installation requires a screwdriver and a lot of force, you have to bend the clips before you even try to get it on the core.

Installing my FOP-32 sucked big time. I thought I was going to break my die. They need to fix the clips. The clip applys so much force the chrome paint on the clip is starting to foil off!

If you put some thermal paste on first it gives you a bit of a safety factor - you should put the thermal paste on anyway.

My Alpha6035 had no problems .. I took it off and on several times (trying different processors) and it didn't hurt anything.
