Socket A coolers

Hi... I am building a temporary system for myself, until the AMD Sledgehammers come out.

I bought an Athlon 750 on an Asus A7V, and I am wondering if my FOP38 w/ a Delta fan will do a good job of cooling this beast? I plan on overclocking, and it will be going in a FrozenCPU 360 Blizzard case (Link).

Will the FOP38 satisfy my cooling needs (I have Artic III goo), to overclock to 1 Ghz or so?

Would it keep a 1.4Ghz Tbird cool (200mhz) ?

Also, will the 266 chip be backwars compatible with the A7V motherboard, and run at 200? (like say I buy a 1.4ghz 266chip, will it work on the A7V?)

Also, how high of CPUs do the A7V support... 1.4 Ghz I assume? Correct me if I am wrong

hmmm i c no mention of the 1.4 t-bird in the original post, mb i'm missing something.

i've used an alpha pal 6035 w/ a 30 cfm fan on a 1.33 t-bird no problem i didn't oc at all tho so. . . .

fop 38 is sufficient for the athlon 750 u asked about in ur initial post, (if you can handle the noise).

i personally can't stand the delta.

if you want more CPU 1.4 or higher, look for a better HS.

I own the 750 chip now... and I am going to be putting it in a system soon (on an Asus A7V). I know the FOP38 would be alright for cooling that.

I am looking for suggestions if I buy a better CPU, like a 1.4Ghz Tbird.
And I also want to make sure the 1.4 chip would bre recognized in the A7V?

Thanks
