Product Link

When I use the link it says "Bytwize USA" and there is a US flag next to the price... YMMV

EDIT: you can change between $CD, $AUS, $US, UK Pounds and Euros at the very bottom of the page.

The "ahahhahahahahahhahah" or "wow" is that it's a socket 939 Sempron when they are all socket 754 right now, right? Sounds more like an off topic or cpu post :).

Price too high! Not hot, but it's good to see the 939 Sempr0n's finally making the market.

AMD does in fact make a Socket-939 Sempron. The however is this: I only know that HP and the like sell them in their systems, I have not seen a SKU from any of my vendors/distributors for these CPU's. If those listed on that site are indeed retail-boxed, if they truly are in stock, would be interesting...

EDIT: The part # for the 3000 was SDA3000DIO2BP according to the site. Did a Pricegrabber search and found another hit for what is listed as a "New-Pull" CPU. Site listing for it: Linky Link. Might be a CPU pulled from a HP computer or the like.

$199 + $10 shipping for a s939 Sempron OEM pull? I remember reading these are priced somewhere equal to the s754 part to system integraders only. That's about a 130% markup on a pulled part! Outrageous. Even the most ardent enthusiasts have no reason to look for these parts, so it'll sit there collecting dust for a while, lol.

My take on this is that the vendor mislabeled them as socket 939. My reasoning is that AMD likes to boost the CPU speed rating by about 200+ to 300+ points strictly from dual channel. A socket 754 single channel Sempron with 128k cache and running at 1.8GHz is a 3000+. Wouldn't the same CPU in socket 939 flavor be more of a Sempron 3200+ or 3300+?

The s939 3000+ Sempron is a 1.8ghz part. A Secret Disclosed: AMD Sempron 3000+ for Socket 939 Review.
