Socket 939 4400+ Dual Core Question

currently running singlecore 3200+, wants to go dualcore. i never OC and dont think ill OC neither.

there is 2 versions of the 4400+. one is 89w, another 110w
the 89w version is 40-60us more and its really rare.

is it worth the trouble of getting it? or should i just settle for 4200+ 89w version or opteron 170 110w version, which are 40-50us cheaper?

Socket 939 is on its last legs, I'm sorry to say. I wouldn't dump a ton of money in it.

If you can get your hands on a 4400+ for a reasonable price, grab it. If not, either of the other two will suit you fine. The 4400+ primarily has a bigger L2 Cache than the 4200+.

If you're planning to upgrade again anytime in the next year or so, I would spend the least amount possible.

too bad i aint in US atm. otherwise Newegg has o170/4400+(110W) for 190us
