Socket 771 motherboard advice

Hey all, in a bit of a dilemma and wanted to see what you thought...

I want to upgrade my home server which currently is just a dual core AMD 4200+ with 4gb DDR ram and 3 x 500gb sata drives on a HP raid-5 controller.

I have sat about 8gb (4 x 2gb sticks) of normal DDR-2 6400 ram and also have a socket 771 intel quad core xeon cpu which is 2.26ghz a core I think.

Im after a motherboard that will take the 771 xeon cpu but also can run normal non-ecc memory like I have.

Do they exist, anyone got any ideas?

Thanks for any help

Newegg has a tyan dual 771 server board for $157 that might work in the open box section. I would call tyan and ask about support for your cpu and getting a backplate. Most open box boards don't come with accessories. Nearly all server boards require ecc memory, but one board doesn't. But that board is about $200 more. You could sell your ddr2 or use it in another system. The Tyan board comes with 6 memory slots. Ewiz carries some samsung 1 gig ecc ddr2 sticks for $31. But I would try your current memory first. You might get lucky.
