I have a socket 754 Sempron.
I have 2 sticks of RAM. 1x512MB and 1x256MB. I wanted to go to dual-channel with 2x512 and remove the 256 stick when I read this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_754#Socket_754_chipsets
"support for a single channel memory controller (64-bits wide) with maximum of 3 DIMMs (no dual channel support)"
Does this mean that the RAM will still be at the same speed as now if I put in 2 512's?
I have a FIC K8MC51G Mobo.
