Socket 754 MOBO

I am building a Athlon 64 machine and am stuck on my MOBO. I am hestitant to go with Via based on passed experiences with them. I have an Nforce2 board now and love it. I am hearing good things about the SIS755 chipset and need to know is it worth it to wait for the Nforce3 250 chipset or go with the SIS755? I though the Nforce3 250 would be out by now, but haven't been able to find them. Anyone know when they may be available?

If you can wait, try and find a good SiS755 board. Might be another 2-4 weeks before the better ones show up.


If you can't wait then go with a Albatron K8X800 ProII. It has the VIA Envy soundcard, firewire, SATA, etc... and goes for $129 at newegg.com
I would take a VIA board over a nForce board for the Athlon 64. I say that as I type this up on my Abit NF7-S (nForce2) board that has been great.

I've posted a guestion on whether to get the ECS 755A sis board or the Neo MSI via chipset. Will buy in the next few days.
