Socket 754 Fans

I am going to get a 3000+ and oc, and I am not seeing too many cpu heatsink fans that have 754 as their type, so I am wondering about inter-socket compatabilities and also what the best fan would be the best for this situation.

The best "bang for the buck" choice is the Zalman 7000A/B AlCu (the pure Cu isn't any better) for about $30. The best heatsink out there is the Thermalright XP-120 for $50+. I wouldn't get ta Thermaltake as the Zalman beats them all.

i agree with Nickel020. Zalman is great, esp the 7000A Al/Cu. I just bought me one for my P4 to replace the retail one from Amazon for $29.99. I get lower temps and a much quieter envirionment. Thermaltake are known to be loud. The Thermalright xp120 is an excellent cooler that can take a 120mm fan. it will probably be my next cooler.
