Current Newegg listings

I see one as cheap as $88AR. Wow, I recall when they first came out and were $300.

Current Newegg listing of compatible CPUs

Note that only the Asus board accepts Yonah while the Aopen boards only accept Dothan/Banias.

Mobo $88AR
CPU (1.5GHz Dothan) $66

That's a cheap combo. I see "buy it now" pricing on eBay for $30 shipped on 1.5GHz Celeron M Dothans.

Only thing that scares me off are multiple reports of bad overclocking for the cheapest board, plus all the boards us proprietary small HSFs.

Anyone around here use any of these lately? What's the word?

They are probably much cheaper because Core 2 has dramatically reduced demand for them.

Still, at those prices you could be talking about a reasonably cheap, reasonably powerful combination for a HTPC, MAME cabinet, or what have you.
