Collective sigh of relief heard around the country.

That was a crazy game, only saw the end of it, we were all watching it at work and it was stressful.

Looks like we just got a lady's bobsled gold too just now, unless it was a rerun that I saw.

not sure of why all the jones hate. judging by times she seemed to do a pretty good job on the push off, after that it's mostly up to the driver.

Refs will call that as a penalty sometimes. You are required not to touch the goalie, so it is very common that the goalie gets sprayed with snow from players stopping or turning quickly to avoid hitting them. However, if a ref thinks the "snowing" is intentional, then it is an unsporting conduct penalty.

Even if the ref does not call it, in the NHL you have a high chance of being punched in the face by a defenseman for doing that.

I watched her first/2nd run and it most certainly looks like she did all that she could do - that driver was terribad.

Yep, they were consistenly one of the fastest sleds going down the initial straightaway, then as soon as they started with corners it was a pinball machine.

Look closer, the puck is not covered up yet and Perry's stick is actually lying next to it, as he was trying to poke it free, this is still a live play. Snowing the goalie only gets called if you do it after the goalie has covered up.

I don't know the rules on that, but how does that even make sense?

Snowing the goalie after the puck has been covered up seems a fruitless effort. Yet, if the puck is live, it has a very good chance of being effective in intentionally blinding the goalie.

You'd think it'd be called a dirty and illegal move (if deemed intentional) only when the puck is still live/loose.

Canada's Jennifer Jones goes undefeated (first curling women's team to achieve this at the Olympics) and gets the gold versus Sweden. She put on a clinic these last few days.

And Katlyn Lawes (Canada's third) is just so pretty and cute! 🙂

holy shiznit, you talking about tavares? thats terrible news for the isles. dangerous game man. I'm still playing it at 33 myself but I constantly ask myself if I should be...

ahh so sad. the NHL's 3rd leading scorer and a really -really- fun guy to watch. supreme talent

Let the hate flow. Time to remember this is the team that stomped on our flag on the ground at the last Olympics. :/

Edit:
@RonMacLeanCBC Cammy Granato says on @HunterZThompson show that the flag on the floor didn't happen. Maybe CBC should not use that clip???
