Im not a huge soccer fan, but Im very aware of who Pele is. One of the greatest soccer players to have lived. He'll probably die soon, and the soccer world will be less without him.

How popular was soccer in the U.S. during Pele's prime? He retired from professional play before many of us were born. Even still we were aware of his legend growing up, but we never saw him play.
