San Diego has a desert climate. It is not a desert.

Most of socal is either a desert or close to it. Definition of a desert is less than 10 in precipitation/year, most of socal is in the 10-15 inches per year range.

snorefest. I got excited at the first snowfall. And we got 2 days in a row. I wish it would snow most days if it's going to be this cold anyway. My boys played ice hockey outdoors in 19F weather last night

The only thing that sucks is beach weather only lasts about 3 months. But I don't mind winter.

I don't ski. 2 hours is not short. I just like the atmosphere and the aesthetics out my window when it all comes down. It's not that often anyway and I hardly ever have to dig out.
