Yeah, $199 for the X850XT is becoming common. Can you imagine the tax on that pre rebate price?! You're best off finding a retailer that doesn't charge you tax at $199. Hell, free shipping too.............

If I didn't already have the x800XL I'd totally hit up the Newegg deal.

Newegg deal is MUCH better. Not only does it have a lower rebate, but there's a lot less tax (so a lower price in the end).

That link is dead. Do you know anywhere else that has the socal fry's ad? It seems to be posted once in a while but otherwise I can't find it online anywhere.

$219 - $20MIR = $199

better as in, $160 lower MIR.

WTF? "X850XT - $174"

I can't believe I just bought an X800GTO2 with the intention of unlocking those extra pipes...WHY did Newegg have to drop their prices NOW? My card hasn't even arrived yet and I feel like I paid too much :(

Dude, the X850XT has been dirt cheap for at least a month.

A few weeks ago it could be had for $150, no fuss or muss with rebates.

I've been out of the loop...I just couldn't bring myself to spend $300 on a video card, so...

Oh, I understand completely where you come from. I could not bring myself to spend more then $300 for a video card either. Prices and performance get shaken up too much in the ultra high end of cards too often, losing value at a huge rate. But that's a discussion for another topic.

jagec,

Did you buy for AGP or PCI-Express? Because the AGP prices are still way up, where PCI-Express is way low.

When did the x850xt go for $150 WITHOUT MIR? CUSA had it for $150 after MIR quite a few times I remember.
