Picked up a pair of these because I needed something frou-frou to sit on my desk.

IIRC, these originally retailed for $129, usually found online for $79-$99, and in this case where they're OEM / plain "putty" colored, normally $59.99 at Fry's. On sale this weekend for $29.99.

While they're definitely not up to par with the massive 6-piece soundsystems from Klipsch/Logitech, they still are pretty good for $30. Midrange is lacking just a tad, but the sound is clear, the bass is fairly solid, sound staging is nice, and overall a fantastic system if you just do occasional music listening / gaming. Also the small footprint helps a ton if you have limited desk space.

If you compare it with any other "budget" speaker setup, these blow them out of the water.

these are really good speakers. i have them , got them at overstock.com for $50 a while back.

they have excellent highs and treble and midrange. the subwoofer isnt gonna blow you away, but its a very good system for normal people.

Up for the day crew. Shelves were empty @ Manhattan beach Fry's but they pulled out some from the back.
