SoBe's new Soda Pop MR. GREEN (review)

Well, I picked up a bottle of Mr. Green at the gas station, came home, and poured it in a glass. I wanted to see the color of this supposed Dr Pepper clone. It looked like...pond scum. It's greenish-brown. So I smell it. No smell.

Hmm...I suppose I'll just belt this back, I say to myself. I tilt the glass, bolt it back, aaaannnd...






OMFG, WTF IS THIS? This tastes like...SUPRISE! Pond scum! SoBe has really bombed, IMHO. This is pure, unaltered green sh!t. THe bottle looks cool, and the idea is nice, but it tastes like crap.

Anyone else tried it? This is really a let down for me...I was hoping for much better from SoBe.

Dude, you suck. SoBe's drinks rock, with the exceptions of 2 or 3 flavors. Their marketing is by far the coolest of all soft drink companies! WTF, are you telling me that "DRAIN THE LIZARD!" or "SoBe or get off the pot!" is bad marketing?

That is a coconut flavored SoBe of the Lizard Line, called "Liz Blizz". It's not bad, but I don't like coconut much so my opinion on that one is slanted. The other one I don't like is the pink one(not the dark pink/red milky one, Lizard LAVA, which rocks) that is strawberry flavored. Blech.

Other than that, they're all pretty good. Lizard Lightning, Power, etc. are all great.

I like sobe's fruit elixirs (orange/carrot, Orange/cranberry, Strawberry/Carrot) and thier energy drink, but some flavors are just plain nasty. If you want something else not to try, its Frutopias Cherry Vanilla thing, it tastes like liquid jello (and not in a good way)

The only SoBe ads I've ever heard around here were on a Windsor based radio station...they always seemed pretty normal to me.

I really like their Green Tea, one might say I'm hooked . Their Sobe Tsunami is excellent, but I'm not a big fan of their sweeter drinks. The Tsunami is about as sweet as I can take (can't drink an entire Liz Blizz without feeling sick)

the only sobe marketing commercials i hear are the stupid ones with the german accent guy talking about sobe power. they are so f'in stupid. and i hear them EVER damn time i am in my car driving somewhere. arrrrrrrrr i need to get an MP3 player in there.....:disgust:

ewww..it sounds so gross. The vanilla coke thread was dead on with the taste, so i don't have any doubt that LordMaul would have any reason to lie. I'll pass on it based on his experience.

I've never been able to drink any SoBe without feeling ill. My coworker has a giant collection of the Green Tea bottles he's gone through. I haven't tried that one yet since all my previous SoBe experiences have been awful.
