Thanks for the stats!

I think I'm going to have to reinstall on my DPAD rig and get it going on SoB

Anything special I need to do for dual core running?

If you want to run as a service, you can use these commands at the command prompt to run multiple instances:

First, install the client, configure the options for your user name and team. Make sure Autoi-start on windows boot is NOT checked. Then go to a command prompt and enter these two commands:

sobsvc -i
sobsvc -p:2

The first installs the service, the second sets it up for two instances. It great on my computers running like that.

Thanks for the help - I'll terminate DPAD for the next couple of weeks (while trying to "steal" another DPAD cpu 😉 ) and run it on my main rig at spare times

any idea if SoB benefits from memory like dpad?

AFAIK SoB doesn't run faster if you have large amounts of memory, the standard (like 1 Gb nowadays) should be more than enough. 😀

not amounts of RAM but DPAD - IIRC - benefits quiet a bit from increased memory bandwidth

I do know some DC apps don't have much of a memory foot print - I can use either low low latency DDR2-667 or crank it up to high speed with other kits I have

I seem to remember that SB likes tight timings, but that was a long time ago. I bet high speed would do just as well. Either way it is quite sensitive to memory speed.
