SoB: New client! SSE2 is back

List of improvements:

# FFT objects updated. SSE2 code reenabled
# non-SSE2 code 5-10% faster
# cache file now saved before reboot, logoff, or shutdown
# fixed hidden divide-by-zero error that prevented testing n > 15811388
# long hang when starting a new test fixed (FFT setup bug)
# IDLE priority is now the absolute lowest, not 1 above absolute lowest
# main window priority not lowered so it won't become unresponsive

Even us AMD users get a boost out of this one

Edit: New client seems to be great.

[Thu Dec 25 23:15:43 2003] AMD Athlon(tm) XP 1800+ detected. Enabling cpu specific optimizations.

And it's giving a cool 400k cEMs/s after about 10 seconds. Someone with a fast P4 available to see what they can get?

Ive got a gain of 20k cEMs/s, wonder if it will last.

My Barton 2500 has returned to the same speeds it was doing in the 1.11 client

I'm at around 614cem/s now on my P4. I was at around 480 cem/s on the same work unit with the old client I think.

Now I need to decide if I want to jump back into sob or run dpad for a while longer.

Who thought that this new client would be the first present I would get on christmas.

Does anyone know what is wrong with the 1.2.1 client and why it shouldn't be used?
