It was a brand-new member who got overenthusiastic, and I hope that it won't happen again. It is certainly not a shared sentiment. This is meant as an explanation, not to excuse the comment.

Again, I apologise on behalf of Team Prime Rib - Seventeen or Bust! The comment was over the top, and uncalled-for.

If you like, I will ask a mod to delete the comment.

That being said, I'll happily discuss other comments, as many of 'em were mine. I'd prefer another thread, as I don't want to cloud the issue.

Everyone in Anandtech is perfectly aware that TPR is a respectable team full of great members, and I don't think anyone was in the least bit offended by the comment. We're just a little bitter that our 'certain overtake date' is, it seems, not to be 🙂
