the packaging makes it very unappetizing.

They're delicious. Try it some time(assuming you like fish). The smoke has a very natural taste, and isn't over done. It's my favorite tinned fish that's easy to find. If you don't see this particular brand, any kippered herring that shape tin comes from the same place as near as I can tell. The different brands just give you a different selection of prices to pay, but my money is they all come from the same packing house in Canada.

I actually love kippered fish, with crackers and cheese.

My wife bought these the other day the first time and have been kinda saving some to put on ice cream later.

One of my new favorite things.

*edit* kinda mentioned to the wife they'd be good with French Vanilla Ice Cream, she had all ready bought some and some Caramel Sauce.

Sneaky wife :)

This is on of my favorite times of the year. Fresh fruit and fresh vegetables for snacks. Was apparently a heck of a good year for cherries; they're still under $2 per pound. I don't think our fridge has been without 4 or 5 pounds of cherries for the past month. Blueberries are just coming into season; I eat a few pints of them a week now. They were 99 cents a pint at the store the other day. And, in another week or so, I'll go out & pick 100 pounds. And fresh peaches, plums, blackberries, etc., not to mention all the great veggies.

Frozen banana + Champion or Omega masticating juicer = magic soft-serve ice cream. I threw some of my fresh blueberries on top, nom nom nom

Also, have you had a Pluot before? Plum/apricot hybrid. Probably the sweetest fruit I have ever tasted in my life

If you like Heath, try that toffee offered sometimes on woot.com.

I'll check that out, thanks!

And Doc, I'm glad you mentioned berries. There's a spot I found in a local wetland that had oner an acre of wild blueberries. I'll have to see how they are coming along as well as hit the public market.

I need my snacks salty, not sweet. Give me chips or nuts or something like that.

It's weird, but yep. I guess that's why fruit never really satisfied me as a snack. These days I usually go for some trail mix or jerky I keep in the desk.
