And now you wonder where to get a case and what in the heck do i put in it.

That is my dilema. I just picked up a nice WS lappy and now I don't know where to buy a case. (Don't want to pay retail)

And what do you lappy veterans have in your case?

I also have a 17ince WS lappy. I carry it in a company bag. I have my power supply, a few blank cd-r's, a jump drive, and my emergency disk (drivers, OS, spyware, anti virus stuff.), usb mouse.

For bags, this may sound off beat, but try going to your local goodwill. I've seen a few dell bags, nvidia bags Micro$oft bags for a bout $2 apiece. You might have good luck finding it there.
