oh hey, when one gets it in the groin area, it has it's own medical name!

"fornier's gangrene"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fournier_gangrene

there's been a few royal people apparently who have died from it. wtf?

The most historically prominent sufferers from this condition may have been Herod the Great, his grandson Herod Agrippa, and possibly the Roman emperor Galerius. Puerto Rican abolitionist and pro-independence leader Segundo Ruiz Belvis died from Fournier gangrene in November 1867[5].

Arguing about a fuzzy gif lol.

I'll take the defense though just for the interest of it.

The spider here is not throwing a mass of velocity, it's simply the reaction of the person freaking out at the launch of said spider. It also does indeed look like a spider, a tarantula of some sort. The fat squat body and the thick "stubby" legs. There's nothing odd about the movement of the feet, and they can and do make short jerky motions sometimes.

Why would the spider jump? Like I said they usually don't. It knows it can get hurt doing so. It's not attacking the person, but you can see it freaks out and jumps when the shadow closes in. This isn't a cheetah in the open plains, perhaps it felt that was its best option. Who knows, maybe they were messing with it earlier?

I have seen this in real life though...while showing, a tarantula jumped into somebody's face. They had the same kind of knee jerk jump back reaction. It's not the force of the spider hitting them. I have handled hundreds of spiders including tarantulas and some venomous species in my life. I saw nothing here as obviously fake, and personal experience says this could easily be real.

If you saw a big ass spider like that on your wall what would you do? You'd probably get a video of it too. Then don a helmet get a knife and try to "slay the dragon!". Your not gonna try to smack it with your hand. Or shoot at it in your house. Would be pretty stupid to try to light it on fire too.

Most people are like you guys, ignorant and clueless and terrified. "Maybe if I catch it in a big bucket..."

Poor spiders lol.
