I have no fvcking clue yet. Boston is utter nightmare for parking. On the 4th of July, I might as well just shoot myself in the teeth... x(

I will probably watch the fireworks by the esplanade, then get drunk at some super overcrowded bar...

I wish I had a simpler plan somewhere else... like in a get-away condo with small group of close friends...

Working at the zoo.

(5:30am to 1:30pm, then having to go to bed rather early so I'm not exhausted the next morning)

Leaving this Friday for a 12 hour drive up to North GA, will be spending the 4th on the lake up there watching the fireworks from GA and N.C.

Looking forward to getting away, even if its only for a few days.

I might have to work... Furtunately working will be from 6AM to 2PM so still plenty of time to do things and I will get double pay.

Awesome. Get a good long ass nap for 3 hours then you're free all night for drunken stupor until sunrise.

I won't be doing anything special that day, but early in the morning I'm hoping to catch a glimpse of Deep Impact, if the event turns out to be bright enough. Yes, I am a geek. :D

EDIT: Son of a Noob beat me to it.

For skywatchers here on Earth, it should also produce a large cloud of ejected material that should cause the comet to significantly brighten enough to become visible with binoculars and perhaps even with the unaided eye.

Sounds like it wouldn't create any spectacle at all. Don't count on it.

My family is going to Carmel, CA July 2nd-4th morning. The drive up PCH should be nice with the convertible top down. :)

Then we're back home at around 5pm to catch my city's annual fireworks show at the park.

Tomorrow after work we are road tirpping to Appalachia, Virginia to visit my crazy sister-in-law and my crazy Scottish brother-in-law. He has proposed Manhattns as the drink of the hour and so I've bought some bourbon, bitters, and maraschino cherries.

I've also bought some tequila and margarita mix as a change-up surprise, (I figure she's a professoro of Spanish, so it sort of fits... probably do some damage after the manhattans, but I figure the blender will be pretty fun at that point...)

Anyway, visit, push the kids out down the mountain, drink, etc.
