So will these 2-pin panaflo fans work?

Saw somebody selling panaflo l1a fans on ebay with notes that those are 2-pin model and can be "easily" fit into 3-pin by "trimming off one of the tabs". Is that true?
And BTW, does this fan work with an alpha pal 8045?
Thanks, and please excuse me for these newbie questions. 🙂

Yes, it will definately work. Remember for an electronic device you just have to have a power source and a ground - close the circuit, then it works! I have a few 2-wire pans, they all have a black and a red wire. The red wire is obviously the lead and the black the ground. The third wire on most fans is for monitoring the speed 🙂

lordex, if you've ever used scissors, a razor blade, or a utility knife to cut anything in your life, then you should have no problem with this. It's a piece of cake, really.

I cut off the tabs on my Panaflo and fit it onto my Alpha 8045 just fine. All you need is a pair of scissors.
