So why would an employee all of a sudden start parking a block down the street?

My vote is he doesn't want people to see if he's at work via his car in the lot.

Whatever it is, you should get as many of your co-workers as possible to park around his vehicle for a few days and see if he says or does anything.

I'm not sure how you THINK the repo man works, but he's told a few places where a given person would have their car (home, work, etc) so if it's not there he can't take anything.

You might get a name. Make something up. When they look, just tell them the car was there but it isn't anymore.

The repoman only knows to look where he is told to look. Why risk damaging someone else's property or grabbing the wrong car?
They have to check VIN's before they hook up a repo. ....:disgust:

Smoking in the car right before work.

Edit: The fresh air will help brush the small off his clothes on his way in.

I worked for a repo place and still do some PC stuff for them. They check the surrounding area from where the car is supposed to be. If he's fearing getting repoed a block isn't going to cut it for very long. The repo place gets paid when they deliver the car back to the bank or whoever financed it.

What do you guys think?

Now that there some theories floating around.

Have you noticed any tow trucks making U-turns in your parking lot more than usual?

Any large American sedans there at lunch time w/ folks having lunch & just sort of watching?

Mind your own fucking business. Why are you and your coworker buddy acting like gossipy bitches? So what if he parks further from work? I park 10 blocks from work!
