So why did people conquered and oppressed by Christianity became devout Christians?

I have a hard time grasping this syndrome. For example, blacks in America and Africa were once oppressed by Christians. Yet blacks in America today pray to Jesus like no tomorrow. Filipinos and South Americans were oppressed by the Spanish Christians in the name of the Father, yet these oppressed people today have become devout converters, and in fact without these oppresses converts, the Catholic would be left with no army.

What is this syndrome called? when the oppressed actually think they masters are doing them a favor? Could it be that people with a lacking national identity (and low education) are easier to oppress and then convert? Notice that the Chinese and Japanese and Indians are not easy converts. It just happens that Chinese and Japanese a very high level of national pride and many well educated.

They were forced to become Christians. Their children became devout believers. We know that children will believe anything.

Exactly when were Blacks in Africa oppressed by Christians? Catholic army? Are you saying that Blacks, Filipinos and South Americans lack national identity and are uneducated? You paint with a very broad brush.
"It just happens that Chinese and Japanese a very high level of national pride and many well educated." Let me guess ..... you're either Chinese or Japanese right?
Your thread is littered with fail.

Look at the patterns of how religion is propagated:

1. The king or emperor converts and everyone else goes along because they know what is good for them. Buddhism and Christianity grew in this manner.

2. Lands and people are conquered and enslaved and forced to pay homage to the state religion. This is why South America is predominately Christian.

As I wrote in an earlier post, if you educate children early enough you can get them to believe anything.

You are confusing what people do in the name of religion vs what the actual religions may be about. This happens quite a bit. An example is people that assume Islam teaches its followers to kill 20 people using a bomb because the guy claims he did it in the name of Islam . If that were so then why aren't the millions of other Islamic followers killing people ? The answer is what the man did by killing others is not part of the religion but an excuse the person used to try to justify their actions. Very few acts committed in the name of religion are actually supported by the religion itself.

This occurred due to illiteracy more than any other reason. If you cannot read what something teaches but have to rely on someone else to tell you what it teaches then you have to follow what they claim to be true. As literacy increased and people could read for themselves the ability of religion to be used as a justification by others declined.

The government corruption in the USA today is a prime example of this. People do not know what the actual laws and rules are so they allow their elected officials to interpret them and assume what is being done is what the laws say should be done. In this case it isn't illiteracy that is allowing it to continue , but a complacent public.

If you notice pictures of early Americans you'll see many don't have beards, even slave owners. In spite of this many black males don't wear beards.

Why is this? Is it perhaps because those without a strong sense of nationalism don't have beards?

What is this Catholic Army you speak of, and where can I join?

No. Has more to do with spheres of influence than anything else. The European powers established a strong foothold in the Americas, and with them came Christianity. In Asia, you will find pockets of Christianity where the missionaries established a foothold. It has nothing to do with education or national pride.

I would say that. Blacks, Filipinos and South Americans are uneducated. National Pride? Well, you have the Mexicans clawing their way out of their own countries, the Blacks here treated as second-class citizens in many cases, and I can't comment on Filipinos as I don't know any.

The Inquisition (Let's begin)
The Inquisition (Look out sin)
We have a mission to convert the Jews (Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew)
We're gonna teach them wrong from right.
We're gonna help them see the light
and make an offer that they can't refuse. (That those Jews just can't refuse)
Confess, don't be boring.
Say yes, don't be dull.
A fact you're ignoring:
It's better to lose your skull cap than your skull (or your govalt!)
The Inquisition (what a show)
The Inquistion (here we go)
We know you're wishin' that we'd go away.
But the Inquisition's here and it's here to stay!

"I was sitting in a temple. I was minding my own business.
I was listening to a lovely Hebrew mass.
Then these Papus persons plungered and they throw me in a dungeon and they shove a red hot poker up my ass.
Is that considerate? Is that polite?
And not a tube of Preperation H in sight!"

"I'm sittin' flickin' chickens and I'm lookin' throught the pickins' and suddenly thes goyim pull down valls.
I didn't even know them and they grabbed my by the stoghum and started playing ping pong with my balls!
Ooh, the agony! Ooh, the shame!
To make my privates public for a game?"

The Inquisition (what a show)
The Inquisition (here we go)
We know you're wishin' that we'd go away.
But the Inquisition's here and it's here to-
"Hey Toquemada, walk this way."
"I just got back from the Auto-de-fe."
"Auto-de-fe? What's an Auto-de-fe?"
"It's what you oughtn't to do but you do anyway."
Will you convert? "No, no, no, no."
Will you confess? "No, no, no, no."
Will you revert? "No, no, no, no."
Will you say yes? "No, no, no, no!"
Now I asked in a nice way, I said, "Pretty please."
I bent their ears, now I'll work on their knees!
"Hey Toquemada, walk this way. We got a little game that you might wanna play, so pull that handle, try you're luck."
"Who knows, Toq, you might win a buck!"

"How we doin', any converts today?"
"Not a one, nay, nay, nay."
"We flattened their fingers, we branded their buns!
Nothing is working! Send in the nuns!"

The Inquisition, what a show.
The Inquisition, here we go.
We know you're wishin' that we'd go away!
So all you Muslims and you Jews
We got big news for all of yous:
You'd better change your point of views TODAY!
'Cause the Inquisition's here and it's here to stay!

Why would you say they are uneducated? So you say that all Blacks, Fillipinos and South Americans are dumb?
Or are you saying they don't have access to an education system?
Because if you say Blacks in America don't have access to the education system you're lying, as thye have every opportunity to achieve in school as any other group of kids. It just happens that more black kids would rather endulge the thug lyfe and drop out of school because it's not cool.

It was Christian abolitionists that fought slavery and Christian civil rights leaders (hello MLK - also a Republican) who led that movement.

A better question is why some blacks want to be Muslim since it was Muslims who were big in slave trade.

They were forced to and after a few hundred years I guess they just got used to it and it became tradition.

Because they are. Total up all the Blacks around the world and see how many are educated. Same with Hispanic/Latinos.

You could ask the same about Islam, or any religion. Arab-Muslims have oppressed Africans as much if not more so than Europeans have, and there are masses of African Muslims today.

As far as Japan and India goes, it depends on which European country was trying to spread Christianity there. In Japan, the Portuguese managed to convert a large number of Japanese converts in the early 1600s [they converted enough that a Japanese-Christian revolt against thier Shogun saw 40,000 of them rise up]. But the Japanese leadership banned Christianity shortly after that revolt, punishable by death, and banned trade with all outsiders [minus trade with the Dutch, who wernt trying to spread religion they just wanted to make $].

In India, the state of Goa was ruled by the Portuguese for a long time, and that state has a Catholic majority to this day. Under British rule...the other provinces never converted much, largely because the British just wanted $ and didnt care to convert people.

You could say the Spanish and Portuguese in thier heyday of colonizing were like many Muslim states of today...religious Zealots [like Saudi Arabia].

edit- Goa is 26% christian not majority, my fault.

They do have schools in Spain you know...

I don't think Hispanic/Latino has much to do with people in Spain.

Spanish people are basically white and "off-white" (like Italian or whatever).
