So, who's tried the LG Vu (AT&T)?

Hi All,

Just curious who uses the LG Vu and what you think about it. I saw it in the AT&T store yesterday and thought it looked pretty slick. How's the interface (smooth, sluggish, clunky)?

Thanks in advance,
Trevor

I played with the Vu a little bit (for like 15 mins) and while it was ok, the interface felt quite sluggish to me....even going between contacts and recent calls seemed suspect.

When you're in the store, ask to demo a unit. Our store is pretty ghetto so that's not always an option, though.

I had to put my sim card in the phone to use it cause they did not have any on display...well they did have one, but it was off and had the "sticker screen" thing on which kind of defeats the purpose, lol.

this phone is full of fail, the UI is clunky and slow, this phone falls under the "iPhone killer" catagory but I think LG forgot the iPhone is on AT&T, the other Vu like phone (Instinct, Dare etc) are CDMA and people can't get an iPhone so the next best thing will be a Dare for example.

Not to say the iPhone is the be all end all, but the Vu is touch screen phone with no physical keyboard, if it had a slide out KB I could see the appeal. But as it stands I don't see a good reason to get this phone at all. Unless you absolutely hate Apple, the Vu is pretty much just another LG phone.

And if the specs are right it only has 3 hours talk time, that's pretty bad, I can only imagine 3G web surfing on the 3" screen will make the battery die in minutes :)

yeah, assuming it's the same as the LG Dare... what a joke if it's poised to compete against the iphone... especially since it's the same price as the 8GB 3G iPhone. Though, it doesn't lock you into a data plan, so I guess it has that.

But the interface is such a crock. I'm not getting an iPhone because of the data plan, but after using this phone I almost want to leave verizon for having such crappy phones.

I had Verizon for 2 years because my GF has it. Your statement about their phones is pretty true, and the really sad thing is their phones are twice as good as they were a few years ago and they still aren't that good.

They landed the BB Thunder. If they can keep the sales up past launch that is.
