So who's giving up what for Lent?

My friend Andy and I are giving up alcohol. He drank a little too much and threw up in front of his house a few times, so we decided it'd be a good idea to give it up for Lent.

What are the rest of you (to whom it applies) giving up?

IIRC:
Lent is the period between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday - 40 days during which the catholic church urges its charges to give up something.

Frankly, it's a moot point, really, but hey, have fun.

I'm not Catholic either. I do it for the symbolic aspect. It helps me to be more appreciative of what I won't have to go through.
