True 4k144hz is coming Dave, albeit at 4:2:2. That's something to be excited about. This TV looks pretty meh.

My buddy owns the 65" LG OLED curved 4k 3d 4096x2160 tv which looks stupendous, but the input lag is terrible and the lack of adaptive sync is awful. I hated gaming on it compared to my cheapo gsync 28" uhd acer. I didn't have the heart to talk shit about his several thousand dollar TV to his face but wow 3d 4k blu rays look incredible.

I thought I could live without gsync/freesync but once you have it you can't go back.

I'd stay far far away from buying this to game on it. Acer's 4k144hz will blow this away for gaming and so will Asus' whenever that is unveiled. Yeah, they are tiny in size unfortunately.

2880Hz is twenty times 144Hz.
 
unless im missing something here, i get a) the premium on larger sizes, & b) that people can spend their money how they like - but 500k+ just seems like cseed thinks prospective buyers are mentally ill
