So who's a fan of Hockey?

Growing up in Canada it is pretty much assured you're going to have a passing interest in hockey. Either participating as a kid, teen, or adult - hockey pervades Canadian conscienceness.

Now I've always wondered how America views the game of hockey. With the NBA, NFL, NASCAR, and MLB there seems to be a plethora of other - more popular - sports to occupy your time. Historically, the Northeast has been the center of the American hockey presence - have the warmer market teams achieved many fans on ATOT? Are there many fans out there who really follow the game, have a favourite team?

I don't follow it like the NFL, but it is a really cool, exciting, fast, and violent.

I live New England, and I've always been a hockey fan. I rarely ever watch the other sports. Up here, hockey is almost as big as in Canada... I'm a lifelong Bruins fan..

I also buy season tickets to the local AHL team (LA Kings) and go to 40 or so games a year of AHL hockey...

I never go to NHL games though because I hate Boston, hate to go there, and it's crazy expensive...
