So far I don't have any major problem with Win2K. Maybe I should wait for some reviews on the SP.

How about you?

of course ill use it, all the little anomolies and tweaks MS has come up with since its full release will be included. Very rarely does a service pack ever yield negative results, and if it does, it usually means you had something configured wrong before the SP was installed. which happened to a lot of people when NT service pack 5 came out.

Sure, I'll try it. It's not like I have anything important on here anyway. I really haven't had any big problems with 2000 though, but an update is an update. I'll let you know.

Train: are you kidding me?!?! EVERY SP for NT4 broke something.

But seriously, if it ain't broke dont fix it, no SP here until I absolutly HAVE to....then again my servers are running in a production environment, they arent just toys.

I'll also try... will do an image before installing... can't hurt and the only risk is a waste of time.

Why not? At least it can fix some of the whole 65,000 win2k bugs and add more new "features".

LOL, let's just say if you have a hacked version...don't try it ;) :D

Does anyone know if it includes IE5.5??

That doesn't make much sense. "Release IE5.5 on the web without OE 5.5" "Release SP1 with OE5.5 but without IE5.5"

And what's this about not upgrading if you have a "hacked" version? Are you talking about the warez versions, or the 120-day trial to full trick?

The 65,000 bugs rumor is very much overblown. The actual number of bugs in win2k is much lower, and most of them are simple syntatical errors, such as spelling errors in dialogue boxes.

I am running the RC of SP1 now, and I have noticed no changes, good or bad. Although the new slipstream install option is a GREAT improvement over SPs of the past. I have heard that most of the fixes in SP1 address issues in the server installs.

Service Pack 1 will fix memory leak problem that is going on with windows 2000. That is why many have noticed that Win2K seem slower than NT 4.0 Server which has a better memory management.

Hahaha, if there are spelling errors in dialogue boxes what's stopping them from making typos in code? A compiler??? Bawhahahaha!!!!

I will install it nonetheless. I wish they would post a list of what is fixed/updated. They never tell you everything.

Yes no, maybe. I don't know.
Can you repeat the question.
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now and you're not so big
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now and you're not so big
Life is unfair

I'll be the first to try it for sure..
I'll let you know how it goes ...

Nothing really matters with my win2K now but hopes SP1 will really makes Win2K faster and "stabler"
