The iraqi goverment owns them. Russian and french companies have drilling contracts at this point. I doubt the russians or the french will get to renew them in the future.

About the only way I would agree with drilling in Alaska is if the govt does the work and every cent of the profit goes toward paying of the national debt...

I can agree with the first sentence. Iraq owned the oils wells before the war and will own them after.

As for the one being fooled I would say that you have been fooled or brainwashed. Time will tell. You and the "it's all about the oil" crowd of tin foil hats will be proven wrong.
