It's not always about the deals. Sure, I spent some money, but I was with friends so it was a lot of fun.

i bought that 300w speaker box thing at walmart.. $14.99

took the 2 speakers out and replaced the 2 in the back of my car (old/torn/etc).. and now i have better sound and a touch of real bass..

sure how good can the speakers be but they were an improvement over my old ones

started out at circuit city, then went to compusa, starbucks, best buy, and then the mall. best buy was the worst of them all. and the best part, i didnt buy one thing!!! im so proud of myself. well, not exactly. earlier in the week i bought a new tv, dvd player, surround sound system, and the tv stand. but i got em' at a great price, so, my black friday was actually nov. 22.

I bought those a few weeks back when they was at regular price (19.99) andhooked them to a 300 watt amp, and blew both of them within 30 minutes, and then returned them for my money back.

Hope that doesn't happen to yours too.


EDIT: I went hunting this weekend and wasn't even thinking about shopping. I do not even no anyone that went out for that friday sale.

I was at Bloomingdale's on Friday...wasn't too bad. 5th Ave on Saturday was nuts though. FAO had a line all the way around the building to get in the 5th Ave entrance. None of the morons realized there was an entrance on Madison as well with almost no line, which I went into with no wait. Tiffany's was a mess, too.

I'm glad I was doing my grocery store's accounting work for the day before Thanksgiving. The deals this year sucked IMO.

I went to Best Buy at 6 when they opened to get the WD 75GB hard drive and the RAM. Gave the RAM to my dad since I don't need it. Then I went to OfficeMax at 7 when they opened to pick up the free stuff they had. Got those 200 free CD-Rs (yeah, they're cheap-o brands, but I don't mind a coaster now and then if I didn't pay for the CDs in the first place), the Belkin surge protector, and the 100 slim jewel cases. Was home by 8, even though it took 30 minutes to check out at OfficeMax - had like 3 people checking people out and not one of them had a clue.

We picked up all the "free after rebate" stuff and I engineered a great deal at Staples that got me the 128MB SM card, the 64MB SM card, and the 100 CDRs for $13 after rebates and coupons! My digital camera is happy now
