I admit I ended up buying the Mac Mini core duo. This thing is sweet. Cant wait to get the cinema LCD.

Do we have an ATOT Mac Club? If not, I name myself Founder and CEO.

I got a iBook G4 that I use sometimes...but I think I need to play w/ some high end Apple hardware to get the full experience of OSX. My 4 year old PC runs faster than this 2 year old iBook...

What is so great about them? Just the OS? With the gaming issue and losing the ability to upgrade, I just never saw the appeal.

I'd never used OS X before my Mini. I _really_ like it. I wish I could switch all my machines to OS X (which is why I'm getting a MBP, so I can replace my Mini and XP laptop to with OS X). It's very stable, simple, and looks gorgeous.

Unfortunately, I can't sell my $2k+ desktop because I'd miss gaming too much. :(

Sudden Motion Sensor - MacBook Pro protects your data if it detects a fall, by parking the hard drive head during fast changes in orientation.

I can't justify the cost of a new low-end PC, let alone a Mac.
If I could get OSX for free and running on my wintel box, that would be a nice alternative.

I'm not saying I do or don't like the OS, I don't have much experience with it. I'm sure I'd like it like most other people do. However I certainly don't dislike XP, and laptops are pretty much the most unappealing piece of computer hardware to me, so I guess that's why I was never interested.

I know, I'm just saying it's a cool feature that protects them from damage even more.

15" ALU G4 powerbook owner here. I will most likely sell it this year to get a Macbook.

Still love my PC Desktop though :)

Right now I'm using an iMac G4, but I've pretty much owned the entire Apple line of systems over the past two years.
