Not this time zane. Why would there be a run on the bank, the government employees don't have any money to take out of the bank in the first place.

I'm wondering does the shutdown mean they won't be witholding their usual shakedown from everyone's paycheck? Or why is it I suspect no matter how shutdown the shutdown ever shuts down, there will ALWAYS be no problem with someone manning the government wallet hoover.

Anyone taking any bets on the 'take our cut of your paycheck' shutdown?

Yes cause all government employees live paycheck to paycheck and have zero money in savings, stocks, binds, ect

Your employer hangs on to that money and gives it to the feds quarterly. There only need be somebody there to deposit the checks. (However, the vast majority of it is done by EFT.)

Hey, and call it a slimdown because the majority of the government is still humming along. As a bonus, "slimdown" drives the progz into a frothing shitfit frenzy.

And someone will always be there to collect- shut down, no shut down, rain, shine...

It's delivering someone's paycheck that you owe (and that anyone cares about) like a person in the military that's a massive hardship.

Collecting money will always be essential.

If government never reopens, virtually no one will be better off. We'll be a failed nation. On the other hand, the majority of the federal government is still in operation.

The Fed Reserve is an independent bank; not controlled by the government.

That is why some are so hot to audit it.

Sure, especially when you're spending it in insane amounts that no one has.

Heh. Like there's the remotest chance in hell the government will never 'reopen'. Like you say, it isn't *really* shut down anyway. If it remained at the capacity of only spending on what's actually needed and not tons of useless bullshit (IE: the 'shutdown' IE: what should be closer to normal operating) there might be the slightest glimmer of chance that despite our unfunded liabilities bomb that WILL absolutely make this nation fail eventually, that we could be something other than that for a bit longer. Even then, it'd only be a slight chance.

A government that had to switch to a results-based model like every other functioning entity on the planet (rather than a just throw endless amounts of other people's money in the least-effective ways possible at things in order to re-elect the same nitwits based model) would be the best thing that ever happened to this country. Of course, none of this will happen, so it's all just an exercise in wishful thinking anyway.

Government shutdown= some bureaucrats get a temporary vacation while their bosses look for ways to make the public give a shit. Their worst nightmare is more people waking up and saying to themselves- "wait, these dimbulbs that have pissed the entire nation's money supply down the toilet and still scream for more are 'shut down' and yet life goes on as always and I don't miss a single thing they supposedly need to put everyone into debt for... WTF??!"
