Oh yeah and invest in a big storage card. I got a 8gb CF Microdrive, so I can easily store several movies/videos/music on it as needed. With the right software you can play dvix, xvid, etc etc.

I have an Axim but it gets put away for the Treos they gave us. I hate carrying a brick and another phone around... I rather just carry one device.

wanted to buy a treo, but I needed one with a bigger screen since i'll be connecting it to a gps receiver and use it in my car too.

here's my axim in action mounted in my car:

nice! what software are you using for gps?

i primarily use mapopolis

i also have iguidance...it has beautiful 3-D maps, and a great GUI, and better voices...BUT i don't like its route calculations as much. it gets confused if i don't follow every one if its instructions. it keeps telling me i'm going the wrong way.

however, mapopolis will automatically recalculate the next best route if it can sense you are taking a different path. it only tells you if you are going to wrong way if you are REALLY going the wrong way. the maps are all 2-D though, but it is completely functional

Check out aximsite

I think there are some issus with the x51v.

it's just the bluetooth in the WM5 implementation on the axim was pure crap...however, some guys on aximsite have hacked the widcomm bluetooth stack from PPC2003 and implemented it for WM5

bought my gf one. i think it was the x30. works and looks great but just not as convenient as phone/pda's. being able to use the internet almost everywhere is much nicer but comes with the high monthly fees

I still use my X5 daily. Avantgo to catch up on the news whilst on the john, a game of sodoku here and there, some old skool Nintendo from time to time, and GPS quite regularly. I've used it for movies in the past but really don't have the opportunity (2 hours of idle time) any more.

PDA, phone, GPS all in one.

I was looking at that and the 6915, but i think the screen looks too small for gps navigation. plus the 6515 doesn't come with wifi

I have an x30 High. I used it a lot last year to watch videos and read books, but I haven't used it much lately.
