Since they mostly contain people getting all pissed at each other, I am avoiding them as well.

LOL, Adul!

I logged back on just to applaud you...

Actually, the good thing is that they may keep my posting down for the evening...

American Politics:

Gore: 1+1=3
Bush: 1+1=1
Average American Citizen: I thought it equaled 2??

Gore: I have facts that prove 1+1=3.
Bush: I have facts that prove 1+1=1.
Average American Citizen: But, doesn't it equal 2??

Argh!!

If you don't vote, then you don't have the right to complain about the state of politics.

I do, because I know who I am going to vote for, and I have no interest in trying to change somebodys mind, or having them try change mine. And besides, it gets heated in there, and I don't want soot marks in my hair from the flames. ;)

Au contraire. Not voting is a vote, in and of itself, for something not on a particular ballot. It is protected free speech.

You may claim there is no right to complain without casting a vote, but your are making an assumption the facts in support of which are not themselves in factual evidence.

Where's your legal proof to support such an opinion?

I always say when I'm eligible to vote (citizenship should go through any day now :)), then I'll be somewhat interested.
Until then I avoid it ;)
