Minix was pretty much the predecessor to Linux (or at least Linus Torvald's inspiration for Linux). Being an old fart, I got my CS degree in the 80s. I remember one of my assignments was changing the process scheduler in Minix to a sort of LRU algorithm. I also remember that being one of my more enjoyable tasks in college.

So who's with me - I used "Linux" before there was Linux!
