The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
The quick.....

You know, the one you typed 6 jillion times in typing class or your first computer class?

I'm wondering what other common ones are out there.

Jackdaws love my big sphinx of quartz.

I was taught the one with the fox, but that's the only other one I see anywhere. When I read the topic title, though, I thought of tangrams. Now those were fun.

A brief Google search turns up a bunch.

I suppose I see why "quick brown fox" was the teaching tool of course. It's the easiest to remember! Heck, I still hammer that out on a keyboard I'm considering buying.

There are two others that shouldn't be *too* hard to remember:
[*]Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs
[*]The five boxing wizards jump quickly

Still, "quick brown fox..." is the easiest I've seen.

("Tangrams"?? I had to Google that - where on earth did you get exposed to them?)

I learned it this way:

The quick red fox jumps over the lazy brown dog.
