I'd like to say thank you all for taking the time to post pictures and share your great, new experience(s) with the way we are starting to package up hard drives. We always had people here and there tell us that the packaging wasn't the greatest; however, we never had enough to where we needed to make this adjustment. As time went on and as Newegg grew bigger, we started to take notice into the smaller things, hard drive packaging being one of the bigger smaller issues. So, we tried out the packaging with a couple of the warehouses and so far it's been a great success. Still, not selling 100% defective free hard drives, we are making an attempt to lessen the amount of the returns.

If anyone ever has a bad experience with Newegg and would like it resolved ASAP, please notify me directly at Jose.M.Mora@newegg.com.

I added the bold on that text... so they never had enough complaints about the crappy job they did (and still do @ some warehouses?)

If you are lucky, and are in range of the warehouses that packs it this way, then your good to go. Now, we just need people to post which warehouse their order shipped from.

I have never had any problems with HDDs from newegg. I did have to RMA a DVD burner, but I think that was to the manufacturer. I am about 400 or more miles from their CA warehouse, but I've had some items shipped to me from NJ (thousands of miles away). I only place orders maybe 3 times a year, so far 4 this year (1 HDD) with one or 2 more before it's over because I'm building an i7 system.
