.... so where is the Pentium G4400??

I got my mind on building a "baby rig" around the new Pentium chip, shouldn't be more than $500-$550 I estimate - including GPU.

So where is it?? I notice even the Skylake core i3's have already shown up here and there, and are available for purchase.

This Intel "launch" is quite confusing. First it was "August 5", then "September 1", then it was "September 27th"...... ?????

And also, still no signs whatsoever of any mainstream/budget Skylake laptops?
