I still have to ask, how is this different than the Venice core chips that shipped on April 4th according to AMD?
I run AMD in all my systems right now.......but looking at this without bias in either direction, both Intel & AMD have been notorious of "paper launches" recently. The fact that you can call Dell/Alienware and get a date on a complete system to be delivered is at least something.........nobody seems to know when to expect delivery on the Venice chips................LOL!

Please give a link where AMD has said the venice core launch date will be April 4th or any other date. This is a core revision that is transparent to 99.9% of the computer buyers out there. I doubt AMD will say anything about the new core just like they said nothing about using winchesters last fall. They may announce a new model (fx-57 or 4200+), but again I doubt they will make a big deal about a revised 90nm core. I on the other hand am looking forward to slapping a venice core in my next box.
Long story short, you can't knock a company for not doing something just because a certain
rumor mill claimed it would happen. Still waiting patiently...:clock:
