It's rather easy to refute or confirm, is it not? As easy as it is to confirm whether or not he was president of the Harvard Law Review...which he was.

This is a position that is not given to idiots.

Now, as for Kerry/Bush and pretty much any president or candidate prior to Obama (excluding Clinton), the sole honor of "inductee into Skull and Bones" is considerably less....stellar.

😵 It's a well-published fact. I don't have his official transcript, but it's published in quite a few places. It would have also been verified and posted on his bios at his law firms and at the law school he taught at. Also, he was on the Harvard Law Review.

Many of Harvard's websites also mention that he graduated with the distinction in question.

People can disagree with his politics, but Obama has an impressive academic background.

I don't have confirmation from Harvard administration on this. I confess to assuming the honors to be valid since every source from Wikipedia to the Harvard Crimson cites his honors.

Yeah. I couldn't find any other 'source'. I did see those two you mention.

I tried Harvard's site but got nothing.

Not that I care much, but I don't see how we can really consider it confirmed unless it's from Harvard itself. Again, I don't think it much an issue because he's got a record to run on (or defend, depending upon your perspective), but i was just curious.

Saw an interesting tid bit, said approx 90% of Harvard undergraduates graduate with some for 'cum laude' honors. IDK if that applies to law school as well.

This whole line of attack is just a variant on Birtherism, an attempt to deny legitimacy to Obama. It's sour grapes, and I suspect we'll hear a lot more of it after the election.
 
These are important! I also want to see proof from his doctor that his testicles dropped during puberty and dental records to prove his teeth are real. Also we need a semi annual analysis of his feces to prove he isn't a Muslim.

You have unknowlingly proved an old addage sucessful black people have to do that much better then whites just to maintain parity. Obama released 10 years of tax returns when he ran for office, Mitt only released two. Without any additional requirments of pure as the driven snow Mitt, there are demands on Obama for birth certificates, college transcripts, etc. Meanwhile Mittens can't even meet the standards set by his father.

I'm sort of amused by the implied argument you're making that nothing Obama has actually done is worth attacking, so you have to make stuff up to complain about. Although I sort of feel like you're making the Democrats' job easier for them in November. Pretend issues could make some people think you don't have any real issues.

I've been surprised before though. Someone the ridiculous "refighting the Vietnam War" approach kind of worked for the Republicans in 2004.

Well, I guess if symbolically spitting in Obama's face by authoring/disseminating/repeating gross and abject lies and innuendo about him makes those that somehow feel threatened by him "feel good" about themselves, then hey, go for it! It's much better than having them taking it out on their family members and loved ones.

I am loving the haters on this statement. It just shows what lemmings they are. Instead of bringing sources to refute JS80's claims in his statement, they just shit on him immediately with blind attacks and nothing to back them up because they just simply don't like the message. Lemmings, here is your chance. It should be easy enough to debunk all of these claims but instead you like carrying water for dear leader and following the orders to tar and feather all who would speak ill of him. I agree but to see people coming in blindly flailing at his statements, I would think some of the onus is on them to justify shitting on someone. Until then they look like baseless attacks just because they don't like the message and or messenger. Fine, but it would behoove their side of the argument to back up the shit slinging instead of looking like petulant lemmings. Then again this is ATP&N and he is a righty so I don't expect them to bring any facts either.

The original letter appears to be taken down from Harvard's servers so pardon the source. My thoughts:

1. His argument is not particularly compelling, but I don't think there is a compelling argument to be made for Affirmative Action within Harvard. I think by the time you make it Harvard Law you are already on a level playing field. Obama himself was not in any way disadvantaged and I actually find his defense of him personally benefiting from it a bit offensive.

2. I have no idea if the claims made by the author about Obama becoming the editor without ever publishing are interesting if true.

You're illiterate if you think that is what I said. I said nothing about the haters researching JS80's claims. I said that the haters should back up their own claims that what he said isn't true. I'm not defending what he said, I am calling out the naysayers for never backing up their own claims. Some of them of them are hypocrites because they attack him for not backing up his claims while offering nothing in defense of their own claims.
