Just wondering if any one know when the next Radeon was comming out. Will the next verson be a faster clocked RV200 or based off the RV300? Just wondering.

The RV200 is the Radeon 7500's core which is little more then the R100 core with a slight modification to the memory controller, the R200 is the core used on the current Radeon 8XXX series.
ATi's next cards will be based on the RV250 core.
As for what modifications the RV250 will see that's still unknown.

The RV250 core will be used on the Radeon 8500XT (Though recent rumours have put this one into doubt), as well as the Radeon 8700/8800.
The R300 core is still quite aways off, and is intended to compete against the NV30 core.

Thanks Rand.

XBit Labs, Inquirer, AnandTech, AcesHardware, JC's News, Tom's Hardware, Digit-Life, ATi press releases, etc etc.
It's information gathered from a number of different sources, put together to get a gauge of what the most likely situation is.

FWIW the supposed specs of the aforementioned cards are-
R8500XT: 128MB DDR SDRAM, 300MHz core clock, 300MHz mem clock.
R8700: 64MB DDR SDRAM, 350MHz core clock, 275MHz mem clock.
R8800: 128MB DDR SDRAM, 350MHz core clock, 300MHz mem clock.

It's also noteable that at least the R8800 should be using BGA DDR DRAM.

Rumours release dates have varied wildely among different sources so it's very difficult to guess with any accuracy when they might be available.
The only semi-reliable information on availablility is that the R8700/8800 should be widely available to software developers and ATi's third party developers by the beginning of April.
