I have been waiting to get a computer for months. I haven't played any games in over a year.

Maybe.

Hopefully. I bought Oblivion when it first came out and was never able to play it on my P4 1.8 9800 Pro machine. It doesn't even boot anymore so I am just waiting to build something new from scratch.

On or about the 8th expect to see them availble to buy and reviews from the various review sites. It'll be interesting to see if supply can meet demand.

Somehow that seems like asking too much. First new tech from Nvidia in 1.5 years and all.

I can't wait to get a 7950Gx2 for <$250 in a few months. Ah, I love being one step behind bleeding edge.

My thoughts exactly! That or one of the middle range 8-series cards that come out in the spring.

Well, in theory the prices will eventually come down more and more as newer cards get released. Unless of course the card gets discontinued before it reaches that price.
