If you have to ask then it's a pretty safe bet that you still are. Not that I really care who is a newbie and who isn't, since post count is hugely overrated.
 
There is no set rule for overcoming newbieness. However I'd say that there are a few things that are usually good indicators:
1) You answer questions with solid proof of your reasoning,
2) Your questions make sense. For example, asking something like this means you are a newbie: "So I plug my monitor into my hard drive so my mouse won't moveclick forward on screen reboot, how do I fix it?"
3) Your average post is a paragraph not a one liner.
 
When your user rating equals 1000+ then you're not a newbie. MUAHAHAHAH.
